15-year-old Grade 9 SACS student and Kenwyn resident, Ameer Adams, recently suffered a terrifying bullying attack from the hands of the SACS prefects, when they forced him to climb into a manhole and verbally abused him.

The Newlands-based school is still reeling from a previous mishap which may see its headmaster face WCED disciplinary action for negligence and dereliction of duty after incorrect matric examination papers were handed out to learners earlier this month.

Now the school has suspended the prefects badges, who were due to take over from this year's leaving prefects, and is to hold its own internal disciplinary hearing into the matter.
