Mario Roos, the Heart 104.9FM (previous P4 Radio) financial director who left the country after allegedly stealing R13-million from the station, has returned to face a charge of fraud in the Cape Town Magistrates Court.

The radio station alleges that Roos used to their electronic banking system to transfer money into his private bank account. In addition to this, the Station alleged that he made use of a company credit card to pay internet gambling accounts.

Roos handed himself over to the police on Friday last week and was held at the Bellville Police station over the weekend until his appearance on Monday.

The case has been postponed until Monday (02 June 2008) to allow the prosecution more time to gather information.
