Music Academy Delights Crowds

The Athlone Academy of Music band entertained crowds at the Manenberg's Jazz Cafe on Monday evening (31/07/2006). The event was held as part of a fundraising initiative to allow a group of its young learners to visit Slovakia and Vienna early in 2007.
Mr. Sam Jonker, director of the Academy expressed his gratitude to all who supported the event during his opening speech at the event.
The Athlone Academy of Music, located in 8th Avenue, Belgravia Estate aims to provide access to the study of music to all interested persons, as an alternative to gangsterism and drugs. Visit their website at www.athloneacademyofmusic.org.za for more details.
