Najwa Petersen and co-accused Abdur Emjedi, Waheed Hassen and Jefferson Snyders have pleaded not-guilty to the charge of murdering South African music icon, Taliep Petersen, in December 2006.

They have also pleaded not-guilty to the charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances and illegal possession of firearms.

Taliep Petersen was killed in his home in Athlone after a family function. The State claims that his widow, Najwa, had hired the three co-accused to carry out the killing.
