The website incorporates a Property section which displays details on properties being sold or leased in the Residential, Commercial and Industrial sectors within the areas mentioned above.
The property section has recently been expanded to include a section where advertisors can place Free Real Estate advertising pertaining to properties in these areas.
The pricing of the Sponsored Advertising section will remain unaffected and Realty Adverts placed in this category will receive enhanced placings.
Athlone Website Manager, Selwyn Bergman, said that, "In maintaining the website, we quickly began to understand that there are many small businesses - people working from home offices and from their garages and sometimes even from rented office space, all within our area - and who give a valuable service, but they cannot afford the high advertising costs prevalent in the market today. As a result these businesses suffer due to a lack of exposure. This website endeavours to alleviate that problem by providing them with free exposure that allows them to be seen by the Global Internet Community."
In addition to the Free Property Listings, the Athlone Website also includes a section where Upcoming Community-based Events can be placed for free, and also a business directory where locally-based businesses can be included at no cost. NGO's and Charity organisations can also lodge appeals for donations via the website.
